Giovanni F. Migliaccio passed away on October 1, 2017. He was born on April 22, 1930 in Testaccio, Ischia, Italy. Preceded in death by his parents Francesco Migliaccio & Giovanna Vesvo Buono and brother Michaele Antonio Migliaccio. Giovanni is survived by his sisters Anna Barbieri and Amalia Castagna. There are many nieces and nephews. Giovanni is survived by his wife, Rita Migliaccio of 62 years; children, Giovanna Migliaccio, Frances Migliaccio, Anthony Migliaccio (Jane) and Anna Migliaccio-Boyle (Terry); grandchildren, Alex Murillo (Christine) Christina Herrin (Jeremy) Elisa Jenks (Randy), Theresa Migliaccio and John Migliaccio; great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Sophia Murillo, Natalie and Gunnar Herrin and Liam Jenks. Giovanni (John) came to the United States in 1953. He was a fisherman in South and Central America and along the California coast for many years. He was a successful investment property owner and started his own business “John Fresh Fish”, before retiring in 1988. He also worked for State Fish. During retirement he traveled to Italy, South America and Spain. John was a member of the Italian Catholic Federation. He loved going to Las Vegas, gardening, walking at the Marina, and visiting friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017, 5-7 p.m. followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at McNerney's Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 6, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Church followed by entombment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
