Obituary

Christopher "Buddha" Thomas Willkom La Duca, February 9, 1973 - June 9, 2020. Beloved son to Vincent Alfred La Duca and Mary Lee Willkom, dearest brother to Vincent William La Duca and Michael Anthony La Duca, cherished uncle to Giovanni Vincenzo La Duca, and trusted friend to so many across Southern California - especially in San Pedro where he graduated high school - his adopted home town.

A SoCal native, Chris reveled first in the local street race culture, then as he got older more into serious and safer pro drag racing with his hand-built 1968 Chevy Camaro in the PSCA Circuit. Chris also kept his work closely aligned with his passion, starting in his youth with an entry-level job on the Cunningham Race Team, then eventually as a Sales Engineer for Ross Piston before making his biggest career jump of owning his own MAC Tool franchise.

Chris was a loyal and trust-worthy friend to many. They appreciated his sage advise and no-nonsense way, and was a contributing factor to his earning of the nickname that so many knew him best... "Go see Buddha... he'll know..."

We love and miss you Bu... and will always keep you in our hearts!
