Hunter Allen Newcomer, a long-time resident of San Pedro, passed away on September 6, 2018. Hunter was a loving husband and father, as well as a father figure to many nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maria Elena (Nena) Newcomer, DDS, as well as his 3 sons: Hunter, Jr., Brian and Henry, and his niece, Paloma, who is like a daughter, and the mother of his granddaughter, Sofia. Hunter was an identical twin to Michael Newcomer, who passed away 4 years ago. Hunter is also survived by his sisters, Sherry Hernandez and Jane Luciene. Hunter graduated from Art Center College of Design and spent his career as an independent product photographer until heart disease slowed him down. He loved entertaining and cooking for his family and friends, and attended Long Beach College for the Culinary Arts in order to perfect his skills. Hunter was always warm and welcoming, and well known for his quick wit. Hunter is deeply loved by both family and friends and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at Rolling Hills Covenant Church, located at: 2222 Palos Verdes Dr. N., Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274, on Thursday September 13, 2018, at 2 PM. Reception immediately following. Please consider donating to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers. Please sign the guestbook at mcnerneysmortuary.com.
